DID YOU KNOW TEA BAG WAS A MISTAKE?
Sometimes the best (and also the worst) discoveries happen by mistake.
In 1908, New York 🇺🇸 the American tea dealer Thomas Sullivan was thinking about an easy way to cut down costs of shipping tea leaves🍃 to his potential customers.
He figured it out by putting a few samples of tea leaves in silk pouches to be used as a packaging. Although Sullivan did not intend his clients to put the entire silk pouches as a whole into water, that was exactly what his clients did, and tea bag was born🚩
100 years after Sullivan's clients mistake the tea bag has turned into the single largest avoidable source of plastic ⚠️ (yes, even larger that plastic straws) and this is why we need to revert this mistake.
We found the solution to the problems Sullivan did not know about and together we are now ready to make the tea bag an historical mistake.
